    A neighborhood in the borough of Queens, NYC, Rego Park has a population of over 28.000 residents, and covers an area of approximately 5.4 square miles. The neighborhood has a predominantly Jewish population, featuring high-rise apartment buildings and detached houses, and a large commercial zone. Originally called Whitepot, it was later renamed to Rego Park after a construction company that started to develop the area back in 1925.
